Today I spent the entire day at the Knollwood Country Club doing hair, makeup and tattoo coverup for the lovely Jajaira Rivera for her 10 year wedding vow renewal.

She was so calm and it was such a pleasant experience to be with her and her family.

Two Is Better Than None

This is the beautiful Adrita Hossain who married her prince this past weekend after only knowing him for 3 months. She couldn't decide between me and another artist so she hired us both. On Sunday, the other artist did the wedding day makeup and on Monday, at the Malibu Beach Inn, I did Adrita's hair and makeup for her 11am wedding reception. What a great way to start the work week!

First Day of Summer

This is what my first day of Summer looked like: Booking another bride for her wedding... in exactly two weeks! Better late than never. Thank you God nonetheless.

NovaLash

I'm going to a hands-on seminar at The Lash & Brow Academy to be trained and certified as a NovaLash extensionist. I heard that the best of the best lash extensionists are certified here, and I want to be known as one of the best.

Practice is going to be the key to my success so I'm looking for a few good women to be my practice models. I already have models lined up for the rest of this month and I need more models in the month of July.

Pretty in Pink

Another successful preview with the sweet Amia Sumlin. Pink is her favorite color so I chose Girlie and Star Violet eyeshadow, Pink Glow blush, and Jazzy Razz lip gloss, all by MAC. She's getting married on July 6th and her tattoo isn't invited!

Get Ready for your Close Up

Do you remember back in February wherein I suggested you position your mirror towards your light source while applying your makeup? How are you doing with that?

If your skills are still not quite where you'd like them to be, consider purchasing a double-sided vanity mirror with up to 10x magnification. I use one to ensure my under eye makeup is not cakey, my pores are erased, and my "faux" eye brows look "fo" real.
