Prom came early for most Southern California teens including Lea LeBlanc. I had the honor of doing her makeup for her and she posted this very nice review about me on Yelp:
"For my senior prom, I wanted to look my absolute best (my girls out here, you know what I'm talkin about). And Monique made me look even better. After hearing about the poor experiences my friends had at MAC and similar stores (sassy make up artists.. feeling unhappy with the final result..), I searched Yelp! for an alternative. And OMG am I happy I did.
I really appreciated the prompt reply Monique gave to my inquiry, as well as the follow-up phone calls/tagging which were tricky because I was at the airport. Monique was always understanding and very friendly. Because I was a first time customer, I received 50% off my service. So the $150 Prom Makeover became $75 which at first seemed exorbitant but was more than worth it when I felt beautiful but still naturally myself. I have never been complimented so much.
I came into my appointment with an idea (purple eyeshadows to compliment my brown eyes), and Monique totally blew it out of the park. My favorite thing about my make up application though was the airbrush foundation- my skin looked flawlessly dewy after. I could have never achieved the same result on my own, further proving the necessity of a professional for special events where you want to keep the photos forever.
The easy street parking and location in downtown Santa Monica made the experience that much more convenient. I highly recommend Monique Powers Beauty Bar- you will NOT regret it!!"
